Engr. Cletus U. Egbuzie is a seasoned petroleum engineering expert and visionary leader with over four decades of experience in the oil and gas sector. He is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of WECE Petroleum Engineering Works & Services Ltd, a reputable consulting firm providing cutting-edge subsurface geological and reservoir engineering solutions across Nigeria and internationally. His leadership extends to board roles in several oil & gas and non-oil & gas companies, reflecting his versatility and exceptional strategic acumen.
Before establishing WECE Petroleum, Engr. Egbuzie had an illustrious 33-year career with ExxonMobil Production Company, where he rose to become the Executive General Manager, Operations Technical Subsurface Department, with oversight of all reservoir and subsurface engineering operations in Nigeria. His tenure included critical technical and leadership assignments in both Nigeria and Houston, USA.
An authority in reservoir and field development planning, production optimization, and acquisition/divestiture evaluations, Engr. Egbuzie has been instrumental in shaping viable development plans for numerous oil and gas fields. He is recognized for his technical depth, leadership excellence, and unwavering commitment to industry advancement.

Engr. Egbuzie earned his B.Sc. in Natural Gas Engineering (Cum Laude) from Texas A&M University, Kingsville (1980), and an M.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma, Norman (1982). On a personal note, Engr. Egbuzie is married to Rosemary, a fellow of the Nigerian Society of Visual Artists. They are blessed with five children and many grandchildren. He is a committed Catholic, a 4th Degree Knight of St. Mulumba, and a Traditional Chief (Nwachinemere 1) of the ancient Amaigbo Kingdom.
